Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) held a ceremony for the presentation of Academic Position Decrees for Professors to several lecturers who have successfully achieved this highest academic rank. The event took place on January 23, 2025, in the Academic Senate Meeting Room, Rectorate Building of USU, attended by the Rector and the Leadership of Universitas Sumatera Utara.
During the event, the Rector of Universitas Sumatera Utara, Prof. Dr. Muryanto Amin, S.Sos., M.Si., officially handed over the Academic Position Decrees for Professors to 36 lecturers in this period who have met all academic, professional, and administrative requirements to obtain the position. This recognition is given in acknowledgment of their significant contributions in research, teaching, and community service.
The process of awarding the academic position of Professor at USU involves a rigorous evaluation based on academic criteria, scientific publications, and contributions to the development of higher education. The assessment is conducted by an independent team of experts in their fields, following transparent and objective procedures.
With the addition of Professors at USU, it is expected that USU will excel further in research, teaching, and community service. USU is committed to continuously enhancing academic quality and becoming a leading higher education institution in Indonesia.
