Medan, October 14, 2025 — Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) held a Ceremony for the Presentation of the Rector’s Decree on the Appointment of Permanent Lecturers on Tuesday, October 14, 2025. The event took place in the Senate Meeting Room, 3rd Floor of the Rectorate Building, and was attended by the Rector of Universitas Sumatera Utara, the Vice Rector for Finance and Human Resources, as well as the Deans from various faculties within USU.
On this occasion, Rector of Universitas Sumatera Utara, Prof. Dr. Muryanto Amin, S.Sos., M.Si., officially presented the Rector’s Decree on the Appointment of Permanent Lecturers to 66 faculty members who had fulfilled all academic, administrative, and employment requirements to become permanent lecturers at Universitas Sumatera Utara.
In his remarks, the Rector expressed his appreciation for the dedication and contributions of the lecturers who have committed themselves to carrying out the three pillars of higher education — education, research, and community service. The appointment process of permanent lecturers at USU was carried out through a rigorous selection and verification mechanism, taking into account academic qualifications, performance records, and commitment to integrity and academic ethics. This procedure reflects the university’s continuous efforts to strengthen the governance of professional and competitive human resources.
Through the presentation of the Rector’s Decree on the Appointment of Permanent Lecturers, Universitas Sumatera Utara aims to further enhance the quality of its teaching staff and support its vision of becoming an excellent, innovative, and globally competitive higher education institution.
