To increase the number of professors and the quality of scientific publications proposing the functional position of Professor of the Universitas Sumatera Utara, USU, through the Bureau of Human Resources held an Acceleration Socialization towards Professors at the Universitas Sumatera Utara. This event was held on Tuesday, September 20, 2022, at the Senate Meeting Room, 3rd Floor, USU Central Administration Bureau Building.
Vice Rector III opened the Research, Community Service and Cooperation event, Mrs. Prof. Dr. Poppy Anjelisa Zaitun Hasibuan, S.Si., M.Si., Apt.
This socialization was attended by lecturers at the Universitas Sumatera Utara who already have a functional position of Head Lector and have a doctoral education. Socialization speakers are Prof. Dr. Arlina Nurbaity Lubis, S.E., MBA, Prof. Mohammad Basyuni S.Hut., M.Si., Ph.D, Prof. Dr. Eng. Himsar Ambarita S.T., M.T., Prof. Dr. Erman Munir, M.Sc., and the Head of the Human Resources Bureau and his staff.
Vice Rector for Research, Community Service, and Cooperation, Prof. Dr. Poppy Anjelisa Zaitun Hasibuan, S.Si., M.Si., Apt. explained the hope and desire of the Rector of the Universitas Sumatera Utara that the Universitas Sumatera Utara must increase the number of professors at this time to meet the target number of professors of the Universitas Sumatera Utara. For this reason, acceleration is needed for lecturers who have met the requirements to be submitted to the functional position of Professor. Therefore, this Socialization event was held by the Human Resources Bureau by presenting resource persons who could help and provide understanding to lecturers in fulfilling the requirements to obtain the functional position of Professor.
Furthermore, the event was filled by speakers, namely, Prof. Dr. Arlina Nurbaity Lubis, S.E., MBA, with the theme Lesson Learned Assessment of Reputable Journal Articles by the Credit Score Assessment Team. Prof. Mohammad Basyuni S.Hut., M.Si., Ph.D. with the theme Tips and Tricks for Preparing Manuscript Publications in Reputable International Journals. Prof. Dr. Eng. Himsar Ambarita S.T., M.T. with the theme Identification of Reputable International Journals. And Prof. Dr. Erman Munir, M.Sc., with the theme of Publication Assistance for Professor Acceleration.
Then the event continued with questions and answers with the speakers, and the event was closed by Prof. Dr. Erman Munir, M.Sc.
